The Secret To The World’s Tastiest Cheesecake? NOT What You’d Expect!

Most of us just do not have the time to make a cheesecake from scratch. We would rather not spend a fortune on a cheesecake from the baker or grocery that may not be a taste sensation. This recipe adds a taste of cinnamon to cheesecake and has a special ingredient that makes it easy to make. You need a 13 inch by nine inch baking pan. You also need two tablespoons of ground cinnamon, one cup of sugar, a lightly beaten egg, one teaspoon of vanilla, and 16 ounces of softened Philadelphia Cream Cheese. The secret ingredient is two cans of Pillsbury Crescent Dinner Rolls. Any brand of cream cheese or crescent roll will work.

Grease the baking pan with butter, margarine, or cooking spray. Press one package of crescent rolls into the bottom of the baking pan. You want the rolls to be about one-quarter of an inch thick at most. Be sure that all of the rolls are pressed together because you are making a crust for the cheesecake.

Mix one-half cup of sugar, vanilla, the cream cheese, and the beaten egg together in a mixing bowl and mix with a hand mixer set on medium. You can whisk this but it is a lot of work. You want the mixture to be consistent throughout. The mixture should look like slightly yellow cream cheese. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the bottom crust in the baking pan. You want the cream cheese to be even in thickness. Break the second can of crescent rolls and spread them out on wax paper. Form the rolls into a 13 inch by nine inch rectangle. This is the top crust. You want the crust to be one complete piece just like the bottom crust.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 35 minutes. The crust should be golden brown on top and bottom.

Mix one-half of a cup of sugar with two tablespoons of cinnamon together. You want the mixture as even as possible. Drizzle the sugar and cinnamon mixture over the top crust of the cheese cake. You want to cover the entire top crust as evenly as you possibly can. You should add the sugar and cinnamon mixture while the crust is still hot so the sugar and cinnamon sticks to the crust and will not come off when you cut and serve the cheesecake.
