It Only Takes TWO Ingredients To Make The PERFECT Summer Treat From Home!

Like most people, you probably think that in order to make your favorite treats from scratch you have to spend lots of time and money, and I imagine you also worry that you won’t get the results you are hoping for.  What happens if your homemade ice cream just isn’t as good as the store bought variety?  Well, the good news is that you don’t actually need any specialized equipment or expensive ingredients to make ice cream.  In fact, you only need two ingredients and a regular hand mixer – which most people have on hand. So what two ingredients are you going to need? You’ll need sweetened condensed milk, and whipping cream.  Heavy whipping cream, if you prefer creamier ice cream.  First, you want to whip two cups of cream until it forms stiff peaks that stand on their own when you pull the mixer up.  Once you have sufficiently whipped the cream into shape, you’ll want to pour in your sweetened condensed milk.  After letting the mixture get frosty in the freezer for six hours at the very least, your ice cream should be ready to enjoy!

But, this is only the simplest way to make your own ice cream.  This is good because it leaves you plenty of room to experiment.  With just a few additions you can adapt this recipe into your own special blend of ice cream.  For example, if you love cookie dough why not add in some chunks of your favorite cookie dough?  Or gummy bears? Pretty much any candy that isn’t hard will do! There is also a wide variety of different flavorings that you can try – whether classic vanilla or something more exotic like mandarin orange is your taste, there are plenty of concentrated oils that you can add to your creamy classic ice cream to take it to the next level.

One of my favorite variations is birthday cake – I mix in some pound cake crumbles, sprinkles, and a little frosting.  Who says you can’t have your cake and ice cream and eat it too?

Now, this is not to say that there’s anything wrong with ice cream makers.  They can certainly cut a little of the prep time it takes to make your own ice cream.  However, if you don’t have an ice cream maker or the money to buy one, but you do have plenty of time on your hands, making your own ice cream just takes a can of sweetened condensed milk, a couple cups of whipping cream, a hand mixer, and a little creativity.  With this simple recipe I’m sure that you’ll seen be on your way to making your own fantastic ice cream flavors that will impress your family and friends!
