How To Make Soft And Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

There are few treats that bring about as much excitement and enjoyment as a fresh baked batch of chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate chip cookies are the consensus favorite dessert for most citizens and people are always searching for new and interesting recipes that can streamline the process of cookie production.

In order to begin this process, the person responsible for baking the cookies must preheat their oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

After the oven has begun to preheat, it’s time to grab a good sized mixing bowl and add a cup and a half of white flour. You will also need to add one half of a teaspoon of baking soda, one half of a teaspoon of baking powder and the tiniest pinch of salt. Don’t add too much salt, or else your cookies will come out tasting less than sweet.

Combine these ingredients and then set them off to the side, as you are going to need them later. In another bowl, you will be adding three quarters of a cup of unsalted butter, as well as a cup of brown sugar, two tablespoons of maple syrup and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. This mixture can either be whisked by hand or by using an electric mixer. Add an egg to the mixture and whisk it until it has become a homogeneous paste.

You may then take your dry mix that has been set off to the side and add it to the homogeneous paste. 1 and 1/4 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips can also be added now. This also needs to be mixed until it becomes a homogeneous paste.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place roughly two tablespoons of the dough in each space where a cookie will be. Once you have laid out all of your cookies, take the back of a spoon and lightly flatten the back of each one. This allows them to bake properly. Make sure that you have left enough space between each individual cookie.

Don’t cook more than one baking sheet at a time and place the sheet in the middle of the oven, letting it cook for roughly eight or nine minutes before removing. Let the cookies cool thoroughly after taking them out of the oven. This recipe, if applied properly, should produce at least 20 cookies.
