Viewers of this video clip should probably be forewarned that they will not be able to get “Build Me Up Buttercup” out of their heads for quite some time afterwards, if ever. If you are anything like myself, the song will remain in your head on a continuous loop until another one comes along to displace it. TJ Smith decided that it would be a great idea to set up a camera inside of his vehicle. After doing so, it was time to play this old school classic and let those cameras catch him in the act of lip syncing. Lip syncing in the car is as old as cars themselves, but until social media, we were not able to see the results of these impromptu song renditions.

We have already enjoyed a number of wonderful car lip sync videos in the past, including this female dance troupe who recorded themselves jamming out to the Queen classic “Bohemian Rhapsody” and this cop who uploaded their Taylor Swift performance for the world to see.

When TJ Smith sat in Los Angeles traffic, giving his performance of “Build Me Up Buttercup” in order to pass the time, there is no way he could have expected what he ended up seeing once he looked out of his window. He also could have never expected this video to go viral almost immediately and draw in over five million viewers.

Commentators have already spoken about how this video made them realize what was so special about the human race and this video is sure to bring a huge smile to your face and brighten your day. Spreading simple joy is easier said than done, but thanks to people like TJ, this task has never been easier.

Even if you are having one of the worst days ever, taking a moment to watch this video can provide your life with the sunshine that it sorely lacks. No matter how you feel when you click on this video and start watching, I offer you my personal guarantee that all of your problems and sadness will melt away and be replaced with a large smile and pure joy.

Getting to view random acts of kindness such as these is one of my favorite parts about watching these kinds of clips and seeing this level of compassion and sweetness will certainly turn more than a few frowns upside down. While my personal favorite part takes place around the 2:10 mark, you will simply have to watch the video for yourself to find out what it is.

If you know someone who needs a pick me up, head to Facebook or your preferred social media site and share this video with them. They will be sure to thank you for it!
