Nutella goes great with anything. This is a simple recipe for a great tasting chocolate cheesecake that requires no cooking and less than 45 minutes to make. What could be better than chocolate cheesecake with no cooking?
You will need the following ingredients:
I Jar of Nutella – 500 grams or about 1.5 pounds;
Butter – 125 grams or 4.5 ounces (one stick);
Cream Cheese – 500 grams or 1.5 pounds (about three quarters of a package);
Graham crackers – 250 grams or about three quarters of a pound (four regular sized crackers);
and one half of a cup of icing sugar.
You will also need a hand mixer, a microwave safe measuring cup, a second measuring cup, a mixing bowl, a six inch round cheesecake pan or a pan that is six inches in diameter and about 2 inches deep, a tablespoon, and a spatula for blending.
Chop the butter into small pieces and place in a microwave safe container. Add one tablespoon of Nutella and stir. Melt the Nutella and butter mixture in the microwave in one minute intervals until the mixture is liquid and warm enough so it does not go back to a solid.
Crush the graham crackers in fine pieces that are suitable for making a pie crust. You can use graham crackers that have already been crushed from a box. Add the butter and Nutella mixture to the graham crackers and stir. You want all of the cracker pieces to be coated in the butter and Nutella mixture.
Put the crackers in the pie pan and form a crust using the bottom of a small glass or a spoon. Be sure to get the sides of the pan completely covered in the graham cracker and butter mixture. Put the pan in the refrigerator to chill.
Cut the crème cheese into half inch pieces and add to a mixing bowl. Add the icing sugar and mix with the hand mixture until the cream cheese is soft. Add the rest of the jar of Nutella to the cream cheese. Blend the cream cheese and Nutella on low to medium speed with your hand mixer until the color and consistency is even.
Spoon the Nutella and cream cheese mixture into the pan with the graham cracker crust. Even out the mixture of Nutella and cream cheese until the entire graham cracker crust is covered. The idea is to make swirls with an even texture to the chocolate topping so that presentation is best and each slice is about the same size. The same sized slices prevents arguing children regardless of their age.
Put the cheese cake in the refrigerator and chill for three to four hours. Slice the cheese cake with a sharp knife that will cut the crust and not crush the crust. Be careful not to cut too hard to prevent damage to the pan.
Serve the Nutella cheesecake and tell your friends that you spent hours making a chocolate cheese cake just for them.
