The truth is, the two species are incredibly different from one another and, as such, they are pinned against each other by nature itself. For them, it’s just instinct not to like each other because, well, they both lived in the wild before we decided to bring them to our homes and as such, dogs are naturally predators of cats. But when it comes to domestic dogs, that’s really not the case; they are just energetic and like to chase everything that runs, including cats.
On the cat’s point of view, well, they just don’t like sudden movements, anything larger than them and loud noises in general. What fits into this description? A happy dog trying to play with his owner, or just being happy and playing by himself. A dog’s friendly acts might look strange to a cat, which can interpret it wrongly.
